Ok, it may be a little early to get excited, but Vancouver had a snowfall! It happens so rarely that everyone gets excited, or they get depressed, or angry, apprehensive even, but they get involved!
I grew up on the Prairies, and loved the winter. Loved the cold and the ice and the snow. I can take it or leave it now, leave it mostly, but it is beautiful when it first falls.
It means I don't have to water the flowers, or trim their growth. They do seem a bit surprised and somewhat pissed though! And another thing, how am I to use my Grillzebo? It did not keep the snow off my BBQ! Snow is much more creative than mere rain, it finds its' way into every little nook and cranny.
Oh well, off to do some shopping for my Christmas provisions. Need to think about baking my sausage rolls, molasses cookies, and whatever else fancy may decree. I do love a white Christmas though. Time to get out and enjoy.

I'm jealous, I loved being up there last year, proper snow.. so nice, esp when you don't have to try to get anywhere.....
I thought you would be out grilling with a Boddingtons in hand !

Hey Moon, the local supply of Boddies is exhausted. Besides, too bloody cold to be outside cooking. Will be soon though.
Glad to hear you have a tree and al the rest, and remember - Christmas is really who you share it with. That is what makes it special.
Doesn't it look beautiful - I love to see it and watch it fall - especially when I don't have to go out - then its me who falls!!
We don't get much of it here - few flakes and the country falls over so its perhaps as well.
Cooking sounds good - do we see the recipes????
Kate, it is beautiful, but I tire of it quite quickly, like right about now. As for the recipes, I will publish them along with some photos, and hope to get to the stove later this week.
I thought I might either make some mince pies tonight and pop them in the freezer for a couple of days until Keiron comes at the weekend - then just bake them up - apparently Mum's mince pies are the best ...... or my daughter has announced she would like duchess potatoes with her Christmas dinner - so I could be making some of those. Good job my dinner is in the slow cooker as I write or I wouldn't get time to eat - Good fun though.... looking forward to the recipes!!
